We're a community group focused on promoting mental health and environmental sustainability.
Being mindful means being aware and present, which can be applied in many aspects of our lives - our thoughts and emotions, and the impact we make on others around us, as well as our planet. When one is mindful, one will start to appreciate the things that truly matter and develop relationships with the items they own, which naturally slows down the velocity of consumption.
We're fostering an environmentally & socially conscious generation.
Our work aims to reconnect people with their roots, both figuratively and literally. We provide socio-emotional and environmental education to underserved children, helping them appreciate themselves and their surroundings. By connecting the "how" with the "why", we believe that we can build motivation organically. In addition to education sessions, we also give talks on sustainable living and collaborate with local partners on social media.
Meaningful impact requires a strong foundation of sustainable community work.
Burn out is common among non-profit groups. We believe that community work is like an endurance marathon: low-intensity work over a longer period of time.
